Last year when we went to Kenya I had the misfortune of getting sick - with bronchitis, as it turns out. It lasted through all 16 days there and a couple weeks more. I couldn't believe that I was sick all through what was my trip of a lifetime. This year I've really been looking forward to the Chelsea Flower Show so, of course, I've come down with a cold. A whopper. An in-bed-by-7:30 type cold. I only left the flat to go to Boots for cold medicine. After sleeping over 12 hours Sunday night I felt a little better, so I went out for a couple of hours on Monday. Apparently I'm not the only one who's Chelsea mad because many of the stores in the neighborhood have decorated their stores in tribute. I'm blaming my cold for the fact that I don't know the names of all the stores involved.

Even the local estate agent (realtor) got into the spirit:

I thought this one was amazing (and made of vegetal matter)

Probably my favorite, though, was from Birley Bakery:

There were gold tags throughout, sharing information about bees.

I can be forgiven, I hope, for snickering when a woman sitting at one of the sidewalk tables, kept shrieking and waving the bees away. Yes, I'm bad.
Tomorrow is the big day, opening day of the Chelsea Flower Show. Fortified by medication from Boots, I'll be there.
