Cool things Seen Around London

This is just a little collection of things I've seen as I wandered about town.

Liberty, aka Liberty's or Liberty's of London, is a high-end department store started in 1875 by Arthur Lasenby Liberty. It's housed in a huge mock-Tudor building on Great Marlborough Street.

It is remarkable, inside and out, with prices that would make your eyes water.

There are many wonderful muses in London. This is Hyde Park Gardens Muse.

These little houses were once stables for the grand houses behind them. In fact, there are still stables in some of them, as the piles of horse droppings will attest to. They're little oases of quiet in a noisy city and are highly sought after. On the rare occasion when one of them comes up for sale, the prices are in the millions.

This is Mercato Mayfair, a trendy spot just off Bond Street.

It's a food market with many different restaurants and bars in what used to be St. Mark's Church.

There's even a little terrace where you can enjoy the stars and watch the little church mice chase each other around the roof.

Near Paddington Station, you can find a little park that houses the Paparazzi Pack.

You never know when you'll see the Royal Mounted Police.

Truth in advertising

I want this lamp!

Words to live by:

Note the supervisor on the roof. (Full disclosure: this was in Brighton.)

Not earth shaking, just little things that brightened my day.
